Aromatic Park Torrevieja

History and meaning
The Torrevieja Aromatic Park, also known as the Torreblanca Aromatic Park, represents an excellent example of innovative landscaping that combines natural elements with contemporary design. Designed by the prestigious architect Carme Pinós and built between 2006 and 2010, this space transformed a former ravine used as a landfill into a 70,000-square-meter green haven.
The park stands out for its sensory focus, where visitors can enjoy a complete experience involving smell, sight, and hearing through its carefully selected aromatic plants, colorful flowers, and the relaxing sound of water.
Location and access
The Torrevieja Aromatic Park is located on Calle Torreblanca s/n 03181 Torrevieja Alicante and is accessible by car with nearby parking by taking the N-332 or AP-7 exit 75 Torrevieja Norte. You can also get there by city bus on lines C L1 L2 A and A2, getting off at the stops "Depósito de Agua - Ida" or "Calle Argonautas". A 4-minute walk away, the park has pedestrian and cyclist access from the center of Torrevieja in a 25-30 minute walk. It also has entrances adapted for reduced mobility and is fully fenced for greater security. It is also very close to the natural park of the lagoons of la Mata and Torrevieja.
Flora and Sensory Experience
The park is home to a wide variety of typical Mediterranean plants, such as lavender, rosemary, thyme, jasmine, orange blossom, basil, and sage. These plants not only create a visually appealing environment but also fill the air with their fragrances, creating a relaxing and therapeutic atmosphere.
The park's trails guide visitors through different themed areas, where they can discover different combinations of scents and textures. The design includes circular flowerbeds of aromatic plants, some elevated with metal structures that create interesting plays of light and shadow.

Opening hours in summer are from 9:00 a.m. to midnight, while in winter they are from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
